About Me

Hello Friends and Family! My name is Shelley and I am a Christian wife to my husband Ronnie, and 8 beautiful children. 5 girls and 3 boys, ranging in age from 15 down to 1 yr. Needless to say we have a lot of activity and drama at our house. Not a dull moment with all of them around. We are a blended family, and it has definately been a struggle. Different homes with very different rules, makes for lots of confusion and sometimes heartache....by all. My husband has two children from his previous marriage, a daughter almost 9 and a son, almost 7. I have 4 children from my previous marraige, 2 daughters ages 15 and 11, and 2 sons ages 13 and nearly 9. Then to Ronnie and I's union, we have 2 more daughters, ages 2 and 1. We strive to teach our children about the Lord, and how to treat others. My hope and prayer for each of them is that they live long, healthy, happy lives loving, and following the Lord, all the days of their lives.

I am fortunate to be a stay at home mom, and homemaker. My husband is a supervisor for a landscaping company. Together we recently started a business making unique hand designed and painted crosses and home decor. We both love working with our hands and together we make a great team. Our business is called The Vine...named after John 15:5. We aim to glorify God in our lives as well as our business. Our business has started slowly but surely. We are waiting for the Lord to open up the doors for us, and to direct our path, and we know that it will work according to HIS plans, purpose and timing. We just have to be patient and have faith. I will admit, that we have days that we seem to lose our faith and our patience. We struggle at times to see God in our situation, but during those times, are when we are to draw nearer to Him. We are hoping to branch out our business soon to the internet. We are looking into a website where we can reach people all over the world. We are looking forward to this new venture and to what doors God opens up for us.

We are also a very frugal family. We are always looking for a good deal. We shop clearance first, love thrift stores, garage sales etc....we try cutting corners where we can and where necessary. We live day to day being budget minded. We currently are in need of a new vehicle...our current one is 12 yrs old, very high miles and needs work.....some of which may be more than it's worth. We are also in need of a larger home. We are currently in a 3 bdrm home, of approx 11oosq. ft.  Tiny for us! We have 3 girls in one room, 3 boys in one room, and the two babies in our room. We are thankful that we have this....I am not complaining.....we could be worse off, but we are in need of more space, to live and play, not to mention, I need a place to myself.....even if for just a few min. a day.....a room not shared by children...for my sanity's sake! lol Every mom needs a little alone time each day. I have to leave the house to get my alone time! lol then sometimes it's to the store, and that is definately NOT alone. Anyway, we are just trusting in the Lord, to provide these needs for us. We are believing and praying for Him to bless us with a newer vehicle in better condition, and a larger home, still in a safe neighborhood. So, will you join us in prayer for these things? What needs do you have for your family? Ask God, and He will provide for you when you need it and are ready to recieve it. You need to ask Him though.
